New York built a 54-48 halftime

ATLANTA -- Chipper Jones wants to relish the highlights in his final season. http://www.chinajerseyscheap.us.com/nike-nfl-jerseys/ . His first home game earned a special place on that list. Jones hit a three-run homer in his return after missing two games, Brandon Beachy pitched seven strong innings and the surging Braves beat the Milwaukee Brewers 7-4 on Sunday for a three-game sweep. Jason Heyward also homered for the Braves, who have won five straight after losing their first four games. Beachy gave up three hits and one unearned run in seven innings. Jones, whose 40th birthday is April 24, had arthroscopic surgery on March 26 to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee. He missed the first two games of the series after having the knee drained on Friday. He hit what he called a hanging curve ball from Chris Narveson for the three-run homer in the third inning that gave the Braves the lead. "It was a pretty cool moment," said Jones, who announced in spring training he will retire after the season. "This year is going to be filled with a lot of moments, I hope. Ive had two so far." Jones has two homers in only three games. After missing the first four games of the season while recovering from the surgery, he homered in his first game back on Tuesday night in Houston. "Its just amazing," Beachy said. "He just had his knee drained and comes up today with a big three-run homer.... Its just huge having him out there." Narveson gave up five runs in four innings for the Brewers, who have lost four straight. Jonathan Lucroy homered and drove in three runs. Jones three-run homer in the third drove in Beachy, who walked, and Martin Prado, who doubled to left. Jones turned on the first pitch, hitting a fat curve ball over the plate. "Youre trying to keep him off-balance," Narveson said. "That came back over the plate when we were trying to get it away. Obviously he put a good swing on it. He punishes mistakes." Jones said he savored his 456th career homer. "Just running around the bases I was thinking to myself man, this is pretty awesome," he said. "Coming back and getting the reception from my teammates and the fans was pretty special." Heyward added his homer high and deep in the right-field seats in the fourth. Beachy (1-1) became Atlantas second straight starter to pitch at least seven innings without allowing an earned run. He struck out six and walked two batters. Mike Minor gave up two hits and one unearned run in 7 1-3 innings in the Braves 2-1 win on Saturday night. Milwaukees first run came after Braves left fielder Martin Prado, fighting the sun, dropped Aramis Ramirezs flyball to open the second inning. Ramirez advanced to second on the play and scored on Lucroys two-out single to centre. Beachy gained momentum by striking out Ramirez and Hart with runners on first and second in the third inning. The Braves scored one run in the first off Narveson (1-1). Michael Bourn doubled, moved to third on Prados sacrifice and scored on Brian McCanns line drive to right field. The Braves loaded the bases in the eighth against Brewers closer John Axford, who had not pitched since Wednesday. After Uggla walked, first baseman Mat Gamel bobbled a grounder by Freddie Freeman for an error. Weeks added a throwing error on the play, making a poor toss toward first. Axford walked Heyward to load the bases and was pulled after pinch-hitter Eric Hinskes two-run single to right. The Brewers trailed 7-1 before scoring three runs in the ninth off Chad Durbin. After back-to-back doubles by Ryan Braun and Corey Hart drove in one run, Lucroy hit a two-run homer. Lucroy had a run-scoring single in the second inning for the Brewers first run. The Brewers have an off day before opening a nine-game homestand. "Were not playing the type of game that we want to play," said manager Ron Roenicke. "On both ends. Pitching and offensively, were just not doing the things that we need to do. "Weve got to kick it in gear a little bit earlier than the ninth inning. ... If we play like this were going to get beat everywhere. We cant continue like this." NOTES: Jackie Robinsons grandson, Jesse Sims, was on the field for a pregame ceremony as the Braves celebrated the 65th anniversary of Robinson breaking the colour barrier. Players on each team wore Robinsons No. 42. ... Brewers SS Alex Gonzalez, who left the team after Fridays game, and his wife, Johanna, had a baby boy, Axel David, on Sunday morning. Gonzalez is expected to join the Brewers Tuesday in Milwaukee. .... The Braves open a three-game home series against the Mets on Monday night. Tommy Hanson will face New Yorks Dillon Gee. ... The Brewers open a home series against the Dodgers on Tuesday night, when Yovanni Gallardo faces Chad Billingsley. ... Durbin has allowed homers in each of his three appearances. Cheap Cowboys Jerseys . A judge on Thursday ordered the cancellation of Brazils international friendly against England scheduled for Sunday at Rio de Janeiros newly renovated Maracana stadium, saying the venue is unsafe. The state government of Rio de Janeiro said it would appeal the decision by judge Adriana Costa dos Santos and believes the stadium meets all the safety standards required. chinajerseyscheap.us.com . "[People] keep asking that question and its not a legit question because we dont have that right, we havent arrived yet," Casey responded. "Weve got to take each game at a time, each possession at a time and look at it that way.NEW YORK -- A happy homecoming for Jimmer Fredette and Michael Malone was another miserable night in a turbulent season for the New York Knicks. Rudy Gay made the tying basket in regulation and a 3-pointer in overtime that gave Sacramento the lead for good, and Fredette scored a career-high 24 points to help the Kings beat the Knicks 106-101 on Wednesday night. Gay and Isaiah Thomas each finished with 20 points for the Kings, who shook off a 13-point deficit and the loss of DeMarcus Cousins late in regulation to salvage the finale of a four-game road trip. Cousins had 19 points and 14 rebounds before limping off with a strained hip flexor with about 3 1/2 minutes left. The Kings made Malone a winner in his first game as a head coach in New York, where he spent four seasons as a Knicks assistant. It was the first time his mother watched him coach an NBA game in person. "Being from New York and having my family here and this is where I started in the NBA, its like a little kids dream," Malone said. "To come back here, and as a head coach, and get a win against the Knicks, it is an unbelievable moment for me, my mother, my father and my family." Carmelo Anthony had 36 points and 11 rebounds for the Knicks but flopped at the finish, missing a potential winning shot in regulation before blowing a layup on the first possession of overtime. Playing 48 minutes, he was scoreless in the extra session. Gay followed Anthonys missed layup with his 3-pointer, Derrick Williams added a basket that pushed it to 98-93 with 2:28 left, and the Knicks never really had a chance to catch up from there. New York finished the first half at 20-32. The reigning Atlantic Division champions have already lost more games than all of last season and continue to battle injuries and speculation that coach Mike Woodsons job is in jeopardy. "I didnt expect us to be in the situation that were in right now. If somebody would have told us that before the season, Id have put any amount of money that they were lying," Anthony said. "But were in this situation right now and weve got to fight through it." The Knicks played without J.R. Smith, who broke a ccheekbone Sunday at Oklahoma City and was uncomfortable with the protective facemask he was supposed to wear, which he didnt receive until Wednesday. Cheap Jerseys. Iman Shumpert then left in the second half with a strained left hip flexor. Amare Stoudemire scored 20 points off the bench and Tyson Chandler had 17 points and 11 rebounds for the Knicks in a game Anthony had called a "must-win." "We cant go back and get this game," Woodson said. "We didnt finish the game. I think we played well in spurts. We just didnt get it done." Stoudemire had three straight New York baskets midway through the fourth quarter, giving the Knicks an 87-83 advantage with 4:59 remaining. Fredette twice hit 3-pointers to make it a one-possession game, and Gay, after having a jumper go in and out, got another chance and knocked it down that time to tie it with 20 seconds to go. Anthony scored 17 points on 7-of-9 shooting as the Knicks cruised to a 33-22 lead after one, hitting 70 per cent of their shots. But Fredette, the college scoring star from BYU whose pro career has been largely underwhelming, answered back with 15 points in the second, matching his high for a game this season. "It was a lot of fun," said Fredette, a native of Glens Falls. "You dream about this, growing up not too far from here, and this is the best arena in the world. It was an amazing experience tonight. But I was just happy we got this win and go into the All-Star break on a high note." New York built a 54-48 halftime lead on 57.5 per cent shooting, but was just 7 of 23 (30 per cent) in the third quarter, with the Kings cutting it to 74-72 entering the fourth. NOTES: Smith didnt want to play without the mask for fear of further injury, acknowledging his choice to sit out was a "somewhat selfish decision." He said he will have to wear the mask for a few weeks and hopes to get it adjusted before play resumes next week. ... Malone worked for four different head coaches in New York. ... The Knicks honoured Hall of Famer Bernard King, who held the franchises single-game scoring record with 60 points until Anthony broke it with 62 last month against Charlotte. ' ' '

1 slump. Roenic

Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Erick Aybar had three hits, including a two-run homer, to lead the Angels past the Los Angeles Dodgers, 8-3, and begin a three-game interleague series. Justin Ellis Raiders Jersey . Dan Haren (7-5) went six innings, allowing three runs on 10 hits and a walk in the Angels fourth victory in five games. Rubby De La Rosa (3-2) allowed five runs on nine hits and four walks while fanning six through six innings to take the loss, the Dodgers second straight after a three-game win streak. Rubby struggled with his command at times. He got a little frustrated tonight, Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said about his starter. The Dodgers jumped out to an early lead on Matt Kemps two-run homer in the first inning. The Angels got a run back in the second on Harens RBI single. Alberto Callaspo walked to lead off the frame and moved to second two batters later on Mark Trumbos base hit to right field. But Trumbo was picked off at first by catcher Dioner Navarro during a Jeff Mathis at-bat before Mathis worked a walk, robbing a bases-loaded opportunity for the Angels. Haren came up next and lined a ball into right to bring home Callaspo. During the play, Mathis was thrown out at third by Andre Ethier as he tried advancing on the hit, ending the inning. The Angels then took the lead in the fifth. Mathis walked and moved to second on Harens sacrifice bunt before scoring on a Maicer Izturis double. Aybar came up next and hammered a ball over the right-field fence to give the Angels a 4-2 advantage. Ethier doubled to lead off the fifth, advanced to third on James Loneys base hit and crossed the plate on a Tony Gwynn Jr. fielders choice. But Howie Kendrick homered with two outs in the sixth to give the Angels their two-run cushion back. It could have been a two-run shot, but during Kendricks at-bat Vernon Wells was caught stealing second. The Angels increased their lead in the eighth due to a costly error. Aybar singled off Hong-Chih Kuo to start the inning and Peter Bourjos followed with a bunt toward the right side of the mound. Loney fielded the ball but threw it past second baseman Jamey Carroll, who was covering first. The ball rolled all the way to the stands, allowing Aybar to round the bases and Bourjos to reach third. Blake Hawksworth later allowed Callaspo to single in Bourjos, and in the ninth, Bobby Wilsons pinch-hit sacrifice fly gave the Angels an 8-3 lead. It was game full of missed opportunities for the Dodgers. They had runners tagged out at home plate in the second and fourth innings, and also left the bases loaded in the third. In addition to those chances, they stranded a runner on second in the second, fifth and sixth innings and left eight on base overall. They went 2-for-12 with runners in scoring position. It was a circus out there. I pitched out of a some jams, said Haren. I struggled to put guys away. Im just glad we won. It was just the opposite for the Angels. They finished 5-for-6 with men in scoring position and stranded just two. GAME NOTES:Dodgers left fielder Marcus Thames left the game in the second inning with a strained left calf...The Angels improved to 7-3 on their season-long 12-game road trip while the Dodgers fell 3-7 during their season-long 12-game homestand...The Angels have won nine of the last 12 games at Dodger Stadium and improved to 47-34 all-time against the Dodgers.http://www.authenticraidersshop.com/Elite-Khalil-Mack-Oakland-Raiders-Jersey-Mens-Nike-Nfl-52-Team-Road-Two-Tone-92 . Inglorious, one of two horses Carroll will send to Canadas most prestigious thoroughbred race, will be the lone filly in the 17-horse field. Khalil Mack Raiders Jersey . Brands was the only German player available to play Sunday, after Tommy Haas and Philipp Kohlschreiber won their doubles match Saturday for an unassailable 3-0 lead. Kohlschreiber pulled out of his reverse singles match against Spanish No.MILWAUKEE -- Prince Fielder and Ryan Braun are both strong MVP candidates for the Milwaukee Brewers. Fielder thinks Braun is putting together the more compelling case. "MVP year," Fielder said. "Hes been outstanding. Batting title possibly, the home runs, stolen bases, RBIs. Hes done magnificent." Braun homered and raised his NL-best batting average to .333, lifting the Brewers to a team-record 55th victory at home, 9-5 over the Florida Marlins on Sunday. "This is a special year, man," Brewers centre-fielder Nyjer Morgan said. "I dont want to say too much yet, but yeah, special. Really special." Every position player had a hit for the NL Central champions before the first out of the third as Milwaukee swept the season series from the Marlins (7-0) for the first time since 1998. Milwaukee scored three in the second and four in the third before Brauns opposite-field solo shot in the fourth. The sellout crowd again serenaded him with chants of "M-V-P" as it did throughout a memorable weekend. Braun finished 2-for-3 before leaving after the fifth and leads Mets shortstop Jose Reyes (.331) for the batting title. No Brewers or Mets player has ever won the crown. "Hes the MVP of the league," Morgan said. "Hopefully, (Friday) kind of locked it up for him. I hope that really locked it up. I think it really showed that he should be the MVP." On Friday, Brauns three-run homer in the eighth inning led Milwaukee to a 4-1 victory and its first division title since winning the AL East in 1982. On Saturday, he drove in two runs as the Brewers rallied from three deficits for a 6-4 win. In this one, Braun singled and scored in the four-run third before hitting his 33rd homer off reliever Brian Sanches to give Milwaukee an 8-1 lead in the fourth. "With him, its plate discipline," manager Ron Roenicke said. "When hes disciplined and swinging at strikes, theres no place to get him out." Braun has 110 RBIs and a 30-30 season with 31 stolen bases. Fielder is hitting .293 with 35 homers and 114 RBIs. Braun, Fielder and Rickie Weeks all left the game in the later innings as Roenicke works to give his starters as much rest as he can before the post-season. "Im going to keep playing," Fielder said. "Playing every day means a lot to me. Plus, weve got two days off before the playoffs. Nothings hurt on me. Its not like Ill feel any different." The Brewers have won seven of nine and need to finish with a better record than NL West champion Arizona to secure home-field advantage in the firstt round. Khalil Mack Authentic Jersey. Playing at home is especially important to the Brewers. Milwaukee is a major league-best 55-23 at Miller Park, topping the 1978 clubs 54-27 mark at County Stadium. "We know how important that is," Brewers starter Chris Narveson said. "We want to end it strong at home." The Brewers finish the regular season against Pittsburgh beginning Monday and are 36-3 at home against the Pirates over the last five seasons. "Theyre definitely top five (in baseball), especially in this ballpark," Marlins starter Ricky Nolasco said. "The ball flies. Theyve got the adrenaline. Theyve got the fans. It makes all the difference in the world." The Marlins hope for that atmosphere starting next season when they move into a new retractable-roof ballpark. Florida finished 40-41 on the road and returns home to play Washington in cavernous Sun Life Stadium for the final time. Emilio Bonifacio led off the game with a homer against Narveson (11-8) for the switch-hitters second home run in as many days and first in 390 career right-handed at-bats. Donnie Murphy added a fifth-inning homer that made it 8-2. Narveson worked into the seventh in his longest outing since July 31 before Omar Infantes two-run double off Kameron Loe made it 8-4. The Brewers added a run in the bottom of the inning and the Marlins answered in the eighth. Nolasco (10-12) didnt get much defensive help. The Brewers hit three consecutive RBI singles in the second that all barely left the infield following third baseman Matt Dominguezs error to take a 3-1 lead. Milwaukee scored four more in the third inning to make it 7-1, chasing Nolasco on Jerry Hairston Jr.s run-scoring double. Yuniesky Betancourts RBI single off Sandy Rosario gave every Brewers starter a hit before the first out in the third. "Once the team starts struggling, everything gets exposed," Nolasco said. "We cant sit here and blame anything on anything or anybody." NOTES: Brewers 3B Casey McGehee had a day off after a 1-for-31 slump. Roenicke said "good question" when asked whether McGehee will be the starter when the playoffs begin. He said the Brewers are in the process of evaluating it. ... The Brewers will use potential NLDS Game 1 starter RHP Shaun Marcum (13-7, 3.31 earned-run average) against Pirates RHP Charlie Morton (10-10, 3.67) on Monday. ... The Marlins, to be renamed the Miami Marlins on Nov. 11, will start RHP Anibal Sanchez (8-9, 3.67) against Nationals LHP Tommy Milone (1-0, 3.32) in Monday nights opener. ' ' '

slides the puck

GM Wally Buono doesnt expect Danny Watkins to help the BC Lions this season or in the future. www.nfljetsus.com/Womens-Shaq-Evans-Authentic-Jersey/ . Buono said he believes the former first-round pick in the NFL is done with football, and has moved on with his life. Watkins played three seasons in the NFL, split between the Philadelphia Eagles and Miami Dolphins after being selected 23rd overall by the Eagles in 2011.   Watkins was selected a year earlier in the CFL Draft, fifth overall by the Lions, but never played for the team. http://www.nfljetsus.com/Limited-Shaq-Evans-Womens-Jersey-New-York-Jets-81-Home-Green-Nike-NFL-70.html .500 at home and .500 overall (16-16-5). The fourth match-up of the Round of 32 sees Thomas Hertl pull a move that did not exactly ingratiate himself towards the Leagues vets while Andrew Shaw finds a beauty without even having to look. Hertl – in just his third career game – had a historic night, scoring four goals at just 19 years old. The fourth goal, however, was something to behold. Streaking in from the left boards, Hertl barrels in on Martin Biron looking to cap an already impressive night. He pulls Biron to his right, bringing the puck back through his legs. Reaching between with his stick, he gets under the shot for a wrister that goes top left corner. The young Czechs effort produces a goal brimming with confidence beyond his teenage years. Shaw, meanwhile, showed that for all his grrit and toughness hes still got a sweet pair of mitts. Authentic Jace Amaro Jersey. matter if you are playing the Islanders

There are many pitfalls in youth soccer in our country. Brandin Cooks Nike Jersey . Over-invested parents; the pressure to win at too young an age; high-pressure coaches who focus on winning instead of on development; and increased dropout rates because of these and other factors are just some of story lines that we see repeated over and over. Much of this negativity comes because of our collective mindset that the only way for us to measure our childrens progress in soccer is through the scores of their games. How many points their team gets and how many goals our children score have, for too many years, been the metrics by which we gauge their progress. But what if there was a different way to develop soccer players in Canada? What if we could simply teach kids to play better? That is the goal of Willie Cromack, founder of Play Better, an innovative plan to improve sport culture in Canada. The program attempts to shift the mindset of players and parents alike, away from scoreboard success and towards empowering children to discover their potential - both as soccer players and as human beings. Play Better is a grassroots soccer program designed to provide clubs, coaches, parents and players with a clear and accountable pathway through soccer. This includes an LTPD-compliant curriculum, lesson plans complete with desired outcomes, video training sessions, as well as tools for gathering metrics beyond simply the number of goals scored. The reason behind the gathering of those metrics is where the genius lies. Play Better aims to marry a holistic charitable program with the training and development of young soccer players. The program does through by asking teams to do the following: • Choose a cause or charity. For example; the SPCA, the Canadian Cancer Society or your local childrens hospital. • Choose a baseline metric. For example; a recreational team can choose 100 completed passes per game. A more competitive team can choose a larger number, such as 200 completed passes. This is called the team goal or team win. • Have a pre-season meeting with parents to explain your objective; for every game in which your team achieves its team win, ask parents (or friends, family members or sponsors) to donate a pre-determined dollar amount to the team cause/charity. The monetary amount is not important - it can be as little as a loonie per parent/family. • Create a team website, where the kids can tell their story. It gives them a chance to explain, in their own words, how achieving their objective every game will not only help them become better soccer players, but also make a difference in the world. It also allows them to track and promote how much money they have raised for their chosen cause/charity. Team Falcons is a U11 boys gold soccer team in North Vancouver. Click here to see how they have committed to Play Better. I am often asked how we can shift away from the win-at-all-costs mentality that has infected youth soccer in our country. As I have written many times before, it is one of the biggest hurdles we must overcome if we are to create an effective youth development system in Canada. It isnt the players that we need to convince; it is the parents. A program like Play Better might just be the bridge we need to achieve this. As the members of Team Falcons can attest, players participating in Play Better quickly realize that their sporting endeavours have a bigger meaning. It isnt just about winning and losing anymore - it is about helping others. This teaches players to work on their fundamental skills (to complete 100 or 200 passes per games, players have to focus on what they learn in training), but more importantly, it teaches them about helping others, about community investment and about personal growth. What parent doesnt want their child to learn those lessons? If these lessons can be tied into the technical development of young soccer players, then Canadian soccer could be onto something big. *If you or your team is interested in Play Better, you can read more about the program here, or contact Willie Cromack at willie@championsinsport.com Cameron Jordan Nike Jersey . It was also a frustrating night for Cristiano Ronaldo as his 100th Portugal appearance ended in a 1-1 draw with Northern Ireland. England didnt even get a chance to play as a waterlogged pitch in Warsaw caused the match against Poland to be postponed to Wednesday. Brandin Cooks Lights Out Jersey . Beat France in a week, and Ireland will likely win its first Six Nations since 2009. It leads the standings with a huge points differential of plus 81. That will be ODriscolls final bow in an illustrious 15-year international career. At home on Saturday, he gave Irish fans a brilliant goodbye.(SportsNetwork.com) - The Winnipeg Jets will try to continue their success under new head coach Paul Maurice when they visit the struggling Washington Capitals for Thursdays meeting at Verizon Center. You catch all of the action live on TSN Jets at 6pm ct. The Jets boast a 9-2-0 record since Maurice took over behind the bench for the fired Claude Noel in mid-January. The club has won its last three games and Winnipeg can post its second four-game winning streak of the Maurice era with another victory tonight. The surge has helped move Winnipeg within two points of a playoff spot in the West. Washington, meanwhile, has damaged its playoff chances in recent weeks, although it does enter Thursdays tilt only three points out of a postseason spot in the East. The Capitals have lost three of their last four games and are just 3-7-3 over their past 13 outings. The Caps, who until this season were in the same division as the Atlanta/Winnipeg franchise, have won five straight in this series against their former Southeast Division rivals. That run includes a 5-4 shootout win in Winnipeg on Oct. 22 when Alex Ovechkin recorded two goals and an assist for Washington. The Jets had a three-game winning streak in D.C. snapped when the Capitals posted a 5-3 home win on April 23 of last season. Ovechkin had one goal and an assist in that victory and the Russian sniper has amassed 81 points (40 goals, 41 assists) in 54 career games against the Thrashers/Jets. Winnipeg has won all three of its games during its current winning streak by one-goal margins and each of the victories came in regulation. The Jets picked up their second straight win by a 2-1 score Tuesday in Carolina, as Chris Thorburn scored the winner with 1:03 to play to down the Hurricanes. The winning goal came as JJacob Trouba skated behind the net and came around the left side in an attempt on a wraparound. Brandin Cooks Black Jersey. It missed the goaltender, but came to the right side and Thorburn slammed it in with 63 seconds left. Andrew Ladd had the other goal and Ondrej Pavelec stopped 28 shots for the win. "It wasnt our best game because I dont think we played to our strengths," said Maurice. "But the structure was deep and our defense was good so thats what pulled us through." The Jets have won the first two games of a four-game swing to improve their road record to 14-14-1. Winnipeg will close the trip this Saturday in St. Louis on the final day of NHL action before the league goes on hiatus for the Winter Olympics. The Capitals were shut out 1-0 in their last outing, as they dropped a home decision to the New York Islanders. Andrew MacDonald scored the only goal of the game early in the third period to account for the decisive goal. Michal Neuvirth made 27 saves for the Capitals, who went 0-for-6 on the power play in the loss. "Every point right now is big," said Washington forward Martin Erat. "It doesnt matter if you are playing the Islanders or if you are playing Boston. You have to play the same way all the time, and we have to get the points from every single game." Washington is 1-1-0 on a four-game homestand that will carry the club into the Olympic break. The residency ends with Saturdays tilt against the New Jersey Devils, who are currently tied with the Caps in the East standings. The Capitals. who are 15-10-4 as the host this season, will play Thursday without defenseman Mike Green (concussion) and forwards Mikhail Grabovski (sprained ankle) and Aaron Volpatti (upper body). Defencemen Drew Doughty, Shea Weber and forward Ryan Getzlaf also scored for the Canadians, who started their gold-medal defence 2-0. Goalie Roberto Luongo, getting the call in place of Game 1 starter Carey Price, was solid when needed in making 23 saves for the shutout. Canada was all over the porous Austrian defence, churning out 39 shots on goal, compared to just 23 for Austria. Austrian goaltender Bernhard Starkbaum prevented a much more lopsided score and was solid in withstanding a barrage of shots from the potent Canadian offence, making 22 saves before exiting ahead of the third period. Perhaps his best stop came as Anaheim Ducks sniper Corey Perry swooped in on a penalty shot but was denied by Starkbaums glove hand. Toronto will end a quick road trip against the Nets and posted a 111-104 victory Sunday in Minnesota, as DeMar DeRozan led the way with 25 points and Kyle Lowry followed with a triple-double of 20 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists. "Kyle and DeMar down the stretch really turned it on," said Raptors coach Dwane Casey. "Kyles triple-double was huge for us. We needed all of his assists, all of his buckets and all of his rebounds." Terrence Ross, Amir Johnson and Steve Novak all scored 15 points for the Raptors, winners in three straight and nine of 11 games. Success beyond the 3- point line aided the Raptors, who sank 14-of-24 from long distance. Novak was 5-of-6 beyond the arc. "They shot the heck out of it from 3," said Timberwolves coach Rick Adelman. "Itts a game we just didnt do enough to win. www.nflchiefsus.com/Womens-Dee-Ford-Authentic-Jersey/. " Toronto is 17-14 on the road and unbeaten in three straight as the guest. They are third in the East standings -- one game ahead of Chicago and four in front of Brooklyn -- and will start a three-game homestand Wednesday versus Detroit, Memphis and Phoenix. Brooklyn is sixth in the conference standings and 1 1/2 games behind Washington. It will shoot for a seventh straight win at home with the Raptors in town and handed the Sacramento Kings a 104-89 defeat Sunday. Former King Marcus Thornton scored 27 points off the bench and Joe Johnson added 18. Deron Williams ended with 10 points and seven assists for a Nets team that shot 53.2 percent and scored 28 points on 25 Sacramento turnovers. "Its always fun to play your former team and see your homeboys," said Thornton, "but my job was to focus on getting this win and we did." The Nets have won five of six and 11 of their last 16 games, and have a 19-11 record at Barclays Center this season. They will visit Miami and Washington in the middle of the week. Nets veteran Kevin Garnett is still nursing a back issue and is questionable Monday versus Toronto. Garnett hasnt played since Feb. 27 at Denver. Paul Pierce (shoulder) and Andrei Kirilenko (ankle) are both questionable as well and left Sundays game. ' ' '

a ground ball that he normally could have

DES MOINES, Iowa -- Canadas Brianne Theisen came into Friday with a 207-point lead in the heptathlon, and she left it with the second-highest score in NCAA meet history. Authentic Aaron Murray Jersey . Theisen, from Humboldt, Sask., cruised to 6,440 points at the NCAA outdoor championships, the best since Diane Guthrue-Gresham of George Mason scored 6,527 back in 1995. The University of Oregon athlete now has seven total NCAA championships, a mark topped by just three women. It was the third straight NCAA title for Theisen, who said the key to her success was to not put too much pressure on herself. "The harder you try -- I mean, the shot put, the javelin -- the worse they are. So its kind of like I just went through the motions and didnt try and it was phenomenal," Theisen said. The Ducks didnt get the points they were hoping for out of the 800 though. Anne Kesselring, the defending champion, finished fifth as BYUs Nachelle Nackie won in 2:01.06. Still, Oregon is in position to win its first outdoor title since 1985 on Saturday, while LSU could win a record 15th team championship. There was plenty of suspense in the mens 100 metres. For a precious few seconds, nobody knew whether Illinois Andrew Riley, Auburns Harry Adams or Florida States Maurice Mitchell would be declared the winner. Well, almost nobody. Riley knew his lean was just enough to make him a national champion. Riley crossed in 10.272, two-thousandths of a second ahead of Adams and five-thousandths faster than Mitchell in a mild upset Friday night at Drake Stadium. "I knew it was going to come down to a lean," Riley said. "I remember my coach telling me to just punch my arms as hard as you can and open your stride. I did that and the lean and I got it. I knew I had it." The meet concludes on Saturday with the LSU and Oregon women tied for first with 40 points apiece. The Florida men lead by eight points over Virginia Tech as they try for their first outdoor title after capturing the last three indoor crowns. Oregons English Gardner didnt need to lean to take the womens 100, powering to the lead out of the blocks and holding off a charging Kimberlyn Duncan to win in 11.10 Gardner took pride in being able to finish the last 40 metres strong. That had been a problem in the past for the sophomore, who faded late and finished seventh in the NCAA meet in 2011. "I worked so hard last year and fell so short. I wanted to just come back and redeem myself," Gardner said. "I definitely came out here with a lot of fire and a lot of intensity and wanted to win." Though Gardner held off Duncan and her LSU teammate Semoy Hackett, those two Tigers still picked up 14 crucial points in the team title race. In the mens 800, favourite Charles Jock of UC-Irvine used the memory of losing by four-hundredths of a second in 2011 as fuel to push him to a convincing win. Jock took charge early in the race and dared the field to try to chase him down. They didnt, as Jock won in 1:45.59 with Iowas Erik Sowinski second in 1:45.90. "This feels like redemption. Ive played that video so many times. I must have played it 20 times this week. It was the worst feeling in the world having worked for 798 metres," Jock said of losing to Virginias Robby Andrews last year. Floridas Tony McQuay (44.58) and Illinoiss Ashley Spencer (50.95) both set collegiate marks for 2012 in winning their respective 400s. Arizona junior Brigetta Barrett cleared 6 feet, 4 inches to win the womens high jump for the second straight year, while Oklahomas Tia Brooks won the womens shot put at 60-6. Southern Utahs Cameron Levins swept the 5,000 and 10,000 races, winning the 5,000 on Friday night in 13:40.05 -- including a 54.4 in his final 400 metres. Levins has scored as many points, 20, as the Texas A&M men and women have combined for. That statistic is proof enough that the Aggies will likely see their streak of sweeping the mens and womens team titles end at three years in a row. For the Gators men, Saturday could provide a breakthrough thats been years in the making. Florida has finished as the runners-up four times since 2004. http://www.nflchiefsus.com/Womens-Phillip-Gaines-Authentic-Jersey/ . - The Minnesota Vikings have ruled Christian Ponder out for Sundays game at Baltimore, because the quarterback has not yet passed all of his post-concussion tests. http://www.nflchiefsus.com/Womens-Dee-Ford-Authentic-Jersey/ .5-million.   Vokoun, 34, played 57 games for the Florida Panthers in 2010-11, posting a record of 22-28-5 with a 2.KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Diamondbacks are finally getting things to fall in their favour. Chris Young came off the disabled list Friday night and provided a pair of RBIs. Joe Saunders kept Arizona in the game after a shaky start, and Miguel Montero drove in three runs against the Kansas City Royals, including the deciding two in the eighth inning for a 6-4 win. "Bringing CY back today was certainly uplifting to the team," Diamondbacks manager Kirk Gibson said. "It was a big win for us, two in a row." Modest for a winning streak, but something that hasnt happened since April 29-May 1. The Royals had pulled into a tie in the seventh before Kelvin Herrera (0-1) gave up back-to-back singles to Willie Bloomquist and Justin Upton to start the eighth. Monteros second double of the game off reliever Tim Collins gave the Diamondbacks the lead. Relievers Brad Ziegler (3-1) and Craig Breslow got the game to J.J. Putz, who worked around a two-out walk to Billy Butler in the ninth for his eighth save of the season. Young had been out since hurting his right shoulder running into a wall during a game against Pittsburgh on April 17. Gibson put him at designated hitter Friday night, allowing him to get some at-bats without having to test his shoulder in the outfield. It was the first time hed played DH in 776 career games. The option isnt available unless the Diamondbacks are playing in an American League ballpark. "Its a way different lineup with him in it," said Saunders, who allowed three runs in the first three innings before shutting down Kansas City over the next three. "It gives us more balance, more power. It gives us more opportunities to do different things." Humberto Quintero drove in a pair of runs and Butler went deep for Kansas City, which has lost three straight by a combined five runs after leading in each of them. The Royals dropped to 4-16 at home this season. "Weve got to play better," Royals manager Ned Yost said. "We can come up with all the excuses, all the reasons why, but the bottom line is we just need to play better, and put our game together at little better. We need to pitcher bettter and hit better at home. Authentic Phillip Gaines Jersey. "Weve been really good on the road," he said. "We need to find a way to do it at home." Arizona struck early on Monteros run-scoring double in the first, but thats all they could manage until the sixth. Luis Mendoza retired the next 12 batters he faced for Kansas City. The Royals jumped on Saunders in the second inning with back-to-back singles by Johnny Giavotella and Mike Moustakas. Mitch Maier grounded back to Saunders, but his throw to second base was high, preventing Arizona from turning a double play and putting runners on the corners. Quintero followed with a two-run double, his third straight two-RBI game. Butler pushed the Royals lead to 3-1 with his homer to centre leading off the third. It was his seventh of the year, a total he didnt reach last season until July 22. Arizona finally solved Mendoza in the sixth inning. Gerardo Parra, Bloomquist and Upton all singled in the span of four pitches, bringing the Diamondbacks within 3-2. Montero struck out to bring up Young, who picked up the hot hitting he was doing before getting hurt by lacing a two-run double into the left-field corner. Kansas City answered in the bottom half of the inning. Irving Falu doubled to right and advanced to third on Butlers groundout. Gibson drew in the infield to protect the plate, but the move backfired when Alex Gordon slapped a tying single past first baseman Paul Goldschmidt -- a ground ball that he normally could have fielded. Montero made that a moot point with his go-ahead double in the eighth. "He understands what he needs to do," Gibson said. "He got ahead in the count and waited for a pitch to hit and came through with a big one." Notes: The Royals left nine on base. ... The Diamondbacks sent OF A.J. Pollock to Triple-A Reno to make room for Young. ... Royals LHP Danny Duffy and RHP Blake Wood had their ailing elbows examined by Dr. Lewis Yocum on Friday in Tempe, Ariz. Both are scheduled for Tommy John surgery in the next two weeks. ... LHP Everett Teaford will make a spot start for Kansas City on Saturday night against the Diamondbacks Wade Miley. ' ' '

The Western Athletic Conference suspended New Mexico State junior guard K.C. Ross-Miller for two games and senior forward Renaldo Dixon for one for violating the leagues sportsmanship policy following its review of the melee Thursday night in Orem, Utah.Wednesday afternoons draft was the conclusion of a process that got underway almost exactly 10-months previously at Complexe sportif Bell - the Montreal Canadiens practice facility when on January 24th 2011 the Impact opened its 2011 Invitational Camp. Invited it seemed was out of contract fan favourite Matt Jordan. Little did anyone know Jordan was actually about to announce his retirement and take up the role of Director of Soccer Operations for the MLS bound club. That particular freezing and frigid January morning saw Jordan in the company of Nick De Santis who himself was about to become the clubs 1st ever Sporting Director. Tasked initially, with building a coaching and technical staff and as that puzzle was taking shape, scout and secure the playing squad. Destination MLS. 10-months on a nucleus of the potential playing squad is now known. Following the draft De Santis spoke of its fruition to TSN.ca, "The process started months ago. Then once Jesse [Marsch] came in we started jotting down names of players. First and foremost we started scouting a lot of games through the course of the summer." Explaining they begun to get a good sense of who would be left unprotected and chartered their course. Then once the list became available, "We started going through who we felt were the best available players." De Santis was realistic as the 6 individuals who comprise the coaching and technical team burnt through the midnight oil of both Monday and Tuesday night. "This is all going to come down to the last minute of the last hour and thats what happened. It came down to the last hour." 44-year old De Santis has riled opponents, vilified officials on the sidelines, chastised many and drawn the ire of the Impacts oldest supporter group, Les Ultras Montréal but its success and striving for more of it thats the foundation of De Santis. With numerous regular season titles his 1st play off championship was as a player in his sophomore season back in 1994. He followed that up exactly a decade later as a rookie head coach and most recently just 2 seasons ago won the playoff Championship as General Manager. His second trophy as GM, the 1st coming 15 months earlier following that memorable mid summer evenings 1 all draw at BMO Field when the Impact captured the inaugural Nutrilite Canadian Championship. From day one the philosophy on player selection for the draft was built around MLS pedigree, emerging MLS talent, alongside young raw types that the club could develop and mould over a concurrent cycle. "I think with the expansion draft with the players weve chosen if I look at our list theres some good experienced players, by that I mean MLS experienced and theres some good young talent. When we think of a guy like Valentin from Chivas hes a U-20 US national team player, hes already had some experience; hes 20 years old. These are the things that excite us because were excited to have. To see him progress with our club is going to be important." Speaking to MLS pedigree, "Then theres Justin Mapp with all the experience he has in the league – a very talented player with speed that can bring experience, talent to what were trying to build." De Santis then signaled out the Gambian Sanna Nyassi, "At 22-years of age he already has 3 years of MLS experience. Very tenacious, a lot of talent and has a lot of speed that can break defenses down". He summarized the selections, "I think the work weve put in to analyze each situation for every player - were pretty comfortable with the decisions that weve made". Say what you want about De Santis, hes never the type to run, hide or shirk a challenge, even through the clubs worst adversity. It didnt get much worse than the opening few months of this previous season when the club was so very fixated on wanting to leave the NASL on a winning note it was De Santis who made himself accountable. Temporarily stepping back into the role of head coach, whilst simultaneously captaining the good ship MLS Montreal. Impact President Joey Saputo in his opening remarks at the clubs end of season awards gala pointed out De Santis and thanked him for bringing an intensity and energy back to the locker room.  Engaging, charismatic and carrying an effervescent smile with a ferocious bark tucked away in the back pocket if need be. Very comfortable speaking in 3 languages De Santis dresses as smartly as any Formula 1 pilot. The quintessential European announced himself on North Americas grandest of soccer stages via his head coach when at that historical moment Jesse Marsch uttered to the media throng and the numerous Impact front office staff gathered the name, Brian Ching. The selection thats absolutely confirmed Montreal on the radar of the entire league, especially so with this years MLS Cup runners up, "Whats important for us is Brian Chings name was up there and we felt that he was a player we couldnt pass on. And we will try to bring him here. His experience, his quality, his savvy of scoring goals – and of course after heaaring he basically didnt want to come that may take a little bit of time. Khalil Mack Authentic Jersey. " As a player himself he knows the hazards. "You have to understand that when a player has spent many years at a club thats had success, the clubs had success its only normal that when something like this happens it becomes very difficult for the player." Adding, "We want to let that situation settle. Brian has a lot of value and we feel if he doesnt want to come then maybe we are in position to get something valuable in the future." Many wonder if perhaps that would involve a little Canadian content. Or in this case a significant Canadian asset in the size and shape of local lad Andre Hainault, "To get Andre Hainault I think is going to be very difficult because of the importance he is on that team. He scored big goals in the playoffs as well. Then theres his defensive importance on that back line".  The Impact though will wait patiently for Ching. "Our thought process is to bring him to Montreal." De Santis gave short shrift on if the Impact were in the market for Toronto FCs Stefan Frei, "When I hear rumours, theyre just rumors and thats as far as Ill take it." He was though willing to confirm the club are close to announcing a few more players .The feeling is that they are players from the 2011 NASL squad, "Could be" was all de Santis would offer. Next for him was likely a revisit to Portugal, maybe even as early as this weekend. This time with head coach Jesse Marsch. MLS clubs have got a lot to look forward to when they pay a visit to Montreal and youll be guaranteed on the pitch De Santis will demand nothing less than the very best from his players, the clubs coaching staff. Whilst off it De Santis will quietly ensure all members of the traveling delegation are well looked after during their time on the ground of the 19th franchise. With Montreal coming alive to the prospect of MLS next spring, for a city that prides itself on its ability to stage some of the globes grandest of festivals and as it eagerly awaits the 2012 schedule - wonder which lucky club and its supporters gets to pay a visit to la belle ville F1 week? SWEET TWEETS – In a city where the rumor mill churns occasionally with the noise certain NHL players are hesitant to ply their trade in Montreal how refreshing it was many of the Impacts latest recruits were not twitter shy in expressing favorable feelings for their new club. Wasting no time was burly defender Bobby Burling from Monumental, CO, "Excited to be a part of something special with @ImpactMontreal and start a new chapter of my career! Thank you for all the warm messages!" Whilst newly Montreal minted striker Justin Braun chirped in from his hometown of Manhattan, CA "Love All the support from the @ImpactMontreal fans. So excited to play in front of you guys!" COY CHING - Congregating with the rest of the Montreal media in the lobby area of Saputo Stadium early Monday evening and on receiving the official list for yesterdays Expansion Draft a couple of things immediately stuck out. There appeared to be an ex-Toronto FC player on each clubs unprotected list and top of the pops on the Houston Dynamos list Brian Ching. Forgetting for a moment Chings playing legacy that includes back-to-back MLS Cups, even alphabetically Houston couldnt disguise his inclusion. Minutes later Impact Director of Soccer Matt Jordan met with the media. Are you going to draft Brian Ching. I nonchalantly enquired. "You know what there was a few surprises and Brains 1 of them. Hes a good player. Obviously he has a proven track record. But you know in all this we also have to consider every element including the budget number that each guys salary will bring to us. Obviously we have to make sure we are responsible as were preparing for our season next year." There goes us thinking a certain maybe, maybe not out of this Galaxy Crafty Cockney held the MLS monopoly on coyness.  HISTORICAL - Impact President Joey Saputo told TSN.ca immediately following the draft, "Its an historic day for us today. Its our 1st official event with MLS. I have full confidence with the decisions the coaching staff has made today. I truly hope the fans are as excited as we are." Following the draft up is their most important event off the field of play when on the evening of December 1st they unveil their MLS jersey. In what likely will be one of Montreals finest of gatherings over the holiday month. Scheduled to take place in the historical old part of town and a calèche ride away from some of the most fabled cobbled streets in North America sits the Montreal Science Centre. An apt choice of venue considering the science and fabric that goes into planning and producing a football shirt today. The jersey will be made available for retail sale at a considerable number of locations the following day. Including the clubs boutique that is housed in their swanky new downtown offices - the setting for yesterdays Expansion Draft. ' ' '

Vitor Belfort would like his middleweight title shot back, please. Ha Ha Clinton-Dix Womens Jersey . Belfort was originally schedule to fight Chris Weidman at UFC 173 on May 24, but a Nevada State Athletic Commission ban on testosterone replacement therapy forced the former light heavyweight champ to withdraw. With Weidman now scheduled to face Lyoto Machida for the belt at UFC 175 in July, Belfort says he has been cleared to fight and wants his spot back. "I did all the tests that Nevada requires," Belfort told MMAFighting.com. "I did it on my own, and I passed them all. There is nothing in my system anymore. God has blessed me. Im ready now, and Im waiting. "Since they canceled (Weidman vs. Machida) in May, there is nothing else to do. Give me what is mine." UFC president Dana White has already said Belfort will get a crack at the winner of the Weidman-Machida title fight, saying in a recent ESPN Fan Chat that "The Phenom" would be in line for his title shot "after he gets his business cleared up with Nevada." "Im doing it really soon," Belfort said of getting licensed again by the NSAC. "The important is that Im doing everything by the rules." And if he his cleared to fight again, the next step is to prove he can return to his dominante form without the help of TRT. "Everything was an excuse to my opponents, and they wont have it anymore," he said. "Its the opposite now, they will be at an advantage. (I used) TRT to be at their levels. They will lose now and wont have any excuses." www.packersstore.us.com/Black-94-Khyri-Thornton-Womens-Jersey/ . "Atlantic is ours," read the shirts, delivered by the league that afternoon. Moments earlier they learned that, for the second time in franchise history, the Raptors will be crowned division champions, also earning home-court advantage in the first round of the playoffs. Demetri Goodson Packers Jersey . If the first two games of their first-round Western Conference matchup are any indication, the Jazz still have a long way to go to regain the swagger of the good old days under Sloan, Karl Malone and John Stockton. PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. -- Harrison Frazar won the rain-soaked Callaway Golf Pebble Beach Invitational by a stroke Sunday when Cameron Tringale missed a two-foot par putt on the final hole. Frazar, who won the St. Jude Classic in June for his first PGA Tour title, closed with an even-par 72 to finish at 9-under 279. Tringale had a 73 to tie for second with Matt Bettencourt. "Theres no better place to be miserable," Frazar said. "When the weather is like this, its a lot easier to do it here than someplace else." Frazar also hit his final approach into the bunker en route to a par. Bettencourt (75) was 12 under after eight holes, but had two double bogeys in his final 10 holes. "We were all hoping they were going to call us in," Frazar said. "On the sixth hole, half the green was under water. Fortunately, none of our putts were in the little rivers." Only three of the 41 pros broke par in the final round played in strong intermittent rain and gusting wind. Carl Bradford Packers Jersey. Frazar earned US$60,000 from the $300,000 purse in the 40th annual event that featured players from the PGA Tour, LPGA Tour, Champions Tour and Nationwide Tour. After Tringale hit his second shot on the par-5 18th into the front bunker, he missed a 12-footer that would have given him the victory, then missed the short par putt to hand Frazar the title. "I just looked up and it was left," Tringale said. "There was a lot of rain, but it wasnt as bad as it was supposed to be. When played in a lot of rain in college, but you never really get used to it." U.S. Senior Open champion Russ Cochran (70) and PGA Tour player Hunter Haas (75) finished at 7 under. Leta Lindley was the only LPGA player to make the cut. She shot a 76 to finish 3 over. ' ' '

feed from Dragic had Phoenix up 65

Chris Del Bosco entered this weeks World Cup skicross competitions in France knowing that a podium appearance would probably lock up a spot on the Canadian team for the Winter Olympics. http://www.panthersstore.us.com/Black-94-Kony-Ealy-Womens-Jersey/ . He won gold Thursday in a weather-hampered event at Val Thorens, but he likely needs to do more to book his ticket to Sochi. The race was halted due to high winds and Del Bosco was given the victory based on his qualification results and win in his first heat. However, hell need to return to the podium Friday to really strengthen his chances for inclusion on the Sochi roster. "I definitely felt like I could have kept going, it was kind of frustrating because you want to win by winning the final but it was out of my control," Del Bosco said in a release. "Theres not really any more I could have done. "It was getting down to crunch time and I knew what I needed to do. I needed to podium. Sochi qualification is kind of a grey area. I dont really know how that works — Im going to just regroup here and get ready to give er again tomorrow." The second of back-to-back World Cup events will be held Friday at the same venue. The Olympic qualification window for skicross closes Sunday, so it will be the last chance for Canadians to qualify for nomination. The qualification process is very complicated and there are several freestyle events on tap this week. The selection committee will analyze all the results and data on Sunday and formally announce their decision the next morning. There are 26 spots available in the five disciplines that fall under the freestyle skiing umbrella —skicross, slopestyle, aerials, moguls and halfpipe — and there can be no more than 14 selections from either gender. The committee will look at results from previous years but performances this season have the biggest impact. For Del Bosco, all he can do is try again Friday and hope for the best. The 2011 world champion and X Games gold medallist has struggled of late and now has loads of pressure on him for the stretch drive. The 31-year-old Montreal resident finished second in the test event in Sochi last season but his best result prior to this week was a 15th-place finish in Innichen-San Candido, Italy. His victory Thursday didnt really offer much sway because he only raced one heat. "Chris is probably one of the most interesting and difficult situations," said Canadian Freestyle Ski Association CEO Peter Judge from Park City, Utah. "But certainly hes helping his cause today and hopefully hell get one more good go at it tomorrow and be able to remove all doubt." Sanna Luedi of Switzerland took gold in the womens competition Thursday. Marielle Thompson of Whistler, B.C., was the top Canadian in fourth to retain her hold on the red bib as overall leader. The depth of the national skicross team and the Canadian freestyle team as a whole leaves athletes who are on the bubble in a tough spot. Some very talented competitors arent going to make the cut because Canada is stacked in several events. Del Bosco competed at the 2010 Games in Vancouver, where skicross made its Olympic debut. He made the final heat of four skiers but crashed just before the finish while making a late push to move into a better position. A spokesman for FIS, the sports governing body, said in an email that Del Boscos victory Thursday would be treated just like any other result on the World Cup circuit, regardless of whether the race was cut short due to weather. That gives Del Bosco 100 points and moves him to 11th place in the World Cup standings. Dave Duncan of London, Ont., was seventh. He slipped to second in the mens overall standings, falling behind Andreas Matt of Austria. Tristan Tafel of Canmore, Alta., was 15th on Thursday and Brady Leman of Calgary was 18th. Georgia Simmerling of West Vancouver, B.C., was sixth in the womens event. Kelsey Serwa, the 2011 world champion from Kelowna, B.C., was seventh in the first qualification round but didnt start her heat. Drouin, from Corunna, Ont., won the Jack W. Davies Trophy as outstanding athlete of the year, plus the F. Kelvin Benjamin Womens Jersey . The Milwaukee Bucks found out they were being sold. It turned out to be a big night for two teams headed in different directions with the regular season coming to a close. PHOENIX -- A game that was uncomfortably close for the Phoenix Suns for nearly three quarters turned into a rout in a flash. The Suns pulled away with a 23-3 run and went on to beat the NBAs worst road team, the Orlando Magic, 109-93 on Wednesday night. "Even going into the fourth quarter we were only down by four," Magic rookie Victor Oladipo said. "They just kind of went on a crazy run." Goran Dragic scored 18 points to lead a balanced Phoenix offence. Gerald Green added 14 points, including three 3-pointers during the Suns outburst. Channing Frye and Markieff Morris added 12 apiece and Miles Plumlee had 10 points and nine rebounds for the Suns, back from a 2-1 eastern trip. Tobias Harris scored 23 points and Arron Afflalo had 20 for the Magic, who are 1-22 on the road since mid-December and an NBA-worst 4-32 away from home for the season. Orlando, already without Jameer Nelson (sore left knee), lost centre Nicola Vucevic when he drew two quick technical fouls and was ejected with 2:32 left in the first quarter. Vucevic had eight points in 9 1/2 minutes when he was tossed. The first technical came for arguing that he was fouled when Frye blocked his shot. The second came when he threw the ball at Frye after the Phoenix forward drew an offensive foul on him. "Hes a load down there," Frye said, "so I just tried to do what I could do, and he didnt like it." The win left the Suns 1 1/2 games behind Dallas and Memphis for the final two playoff spots in the Western Conference. Neither team led by more than seven before the Suns big run took off late in the third quarter. With the game tied at the break, coach Jeff Hornacek told his players it was time to look like a team that belonged in the post-season. "I told them to just get after it and go take the team if you want to be a playoff team," he said, "and thats what they did." Marcus Morriss hit a pair of 3s as Phoenix outscored the Magic 8-1 to end the third quarter after Orlando had taken its first lead of the second half, 73-72 on Andrew Nicholsons inside basket with 1:57 left in the period. Kony Ealy Shirts. The Magic still led, 75-74, when Harris made two free throws 20 seconds later. Morris made a 3, Dragic scored on layup off a Magic turnover, then Morris made another 3, with 2.9 seconds left in quarter. Green stretched the run to 14-1 with two 3s to open the fourth quarter, then added another moments later. By the time Markieff Morris made a 15-footer, the Suns were up 97-78 with 7:45 left. Phoenix led by as many as 21 after that. Green had struggled with his shot before he hit those three big ones. "I just had to stay with it," he said. "I was going to get shots up and I knew I was going to be able to get open and try to make plays." The Magic, losers at Golden State on Tuesday night, scored the first six points of the game, and that was the biggest lead of the half for either team. The score was tied at 25 after one and at 52 at the break. Frye scored the first five in a 7-0 spurt to start the second half to put Phoenix up 59-52 on P.J. Tuckers fast-break layup. Miles Plumlees dunk on a feed from Dragic had Phoenix up 65-58 with 6:18 left in the third. However, Afflalos four-point play capped a 9-2 run that tied it at 67 with 3:34 remaining in the period. "They came out and really pushed it at us," Orlando coach Jacque Vaugn said. "We helped them a little bit by tying to make it complicated instead of the simple play. We will continue to stress that. A lot of times the simple play is good enough. " NOTES: Orlandos lone road win since Dec. 16 was at Philadelphia on Feb. 26. ... Only five of the Suns remaining 14 games are at home. ... The game was Orlandos second stop on a four-game road trip. ... Orlando joined Milwaukee and Philadelphia as 50-game losers. ' ' '

MILWAUKEE -- Boston Celtics coach Brad Stevens insisted that Jeff Green take open shots when he had them. Cheap Los Angeles Lakers Jerseys . The teams leading scorer clearly got the message. Green scored 19 of his 29 points in the second half, leading the Celtics to a 102-86 win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday night. "He passed one up in the first half that I was mad at him about," Stevens said. "That was kind of the gist of our halftime talk. We cant pass up open looks because thats what they were giving us. He really didnt pass any others up. He missed his first one of the third quarter and then really shot it well the rest of the night." Green shot 11 of 22 from the field and 6 of 7 from the free-throw line as the Celtics broke open a tight game in the fourth quarter. "I am confident in every shot I put up," Green said. "Whenever it leaves my hand, I am confident that it will go in. I kept shooting, and they started to fall. That is my game, driving to the rim." Stevens said Green has saved his top performances for weekday games on the road. "Thats when hes played his absolute best," Stevens said. "He hit shots today that were really good shots and then he made some tough ones late. He got himself going by getting to the basket and by shooting it off screens." Kelly Olynyk added 14 points and 11 rebounds for his first career double-double for the Celtics. "They were helping a lot on Jeff in the lane in the fourth quarter and I was able to get a couple of open shots as well," Olynyk said. "We pushed the ball in transition and got some easy baskets. Jeff hit a bunch of big-time shots for us down the stretch." The Celtics used a 12-4 run to start the final quarter to break things open. Green had seven points during the spurt and 11 overall in the quarter, while Olynyk scored 10 after Boston entered the fourth clinging to a 70-68 lead. Jared Sullinger added 13 points and 10 rebounds for Boston, and he drew praise, along with Olynyk, from Stevens. "They can handle the ball," he said. "They can do all kinds of things. It was good to see them both with double-doubles. I was pleased with how those two young guys played." Brandon Knight had 22 points for Milwaukee, which also got 17 points from Gary Neal and 16 points from John Henson, who left late in the game with a foot injury. "We went flat. Our energy went down and they took advantage of that," Knight said of the Bucks fourth-quarter performance. The Celtics scored 32 points on 21 Milwaukee turnovers. "We had more turnovers than assists. Its tough to win like that," said Bucks centre Zaza Pachulia, who had eight points and eight rebounds starting in place of injured Larry Sanders. Bucks coach Larry Drew was disappointed about his teams lack of energy in the game-changing fourth quarter. "(The Celtics) played (Sunday) night, but they seemed to be playing with more energy than we did," Drew said. The Celtics held a 49-46 advantage at the half despite shooting just 40 per cent. Brandon Bass led the way with 12 points. Knight had 14 first-half points for the Bucks, who shot 44 per cent. The Celtics had 11 second-chance points compared to just one for the Bucks. It was back and forth through the first two quarters with 10 lead changes and six ties. Boston held a 26-24 lead after the first quarter, sparked by Bass, who had all 12 of his first-half points in the quarter. "He just manhandled us down on the block. Hes a bruiser," Drew said. "He loves to catch the ball down low. We didnt accept the challenge on Bass." Boston shot 48 per cent for the game, compared with 43 per cent for Milwaukee. Notes: Sanders was diagnosed with a fractured orbital bone in his right eye. He was injured when he was elbowed by James Harden in Saturdays game against the Houston Rockets. Hes expected to be out at least through the All-Star break, Drew said. ... The Bucks also were without Caron Butler (ankle), Ersan Ilyasova (back) and O.J. Mayo (illness). Luke Ridnour (back) and Ekpe Udoh (ankle) returned to the lineup. ... Celtics G Rajon Rondo sat out after logging a season-high 37 minutes Sunday. Hes been limited from playing in back-to-back games as he recovers from ACL surgery. "I think hell be playing back-to-backs very soon," Stevens said. ... Celtics starting G Avery Bradley (sprained right ankle) also was out of the lineup. Hes scheduled to undergo an MRI on Tuesday. Cheap Jerseys Free Shipping . In a rare public comment, Pistorius said he was going through "a tough time" as the case advanced. "Weve got a lot ahead of us," he told reporters after the court adjourned. Defence lawyer Brian Webber said Pistorius is "likely" to take the stand to open the defence case. Cheap Vikings Jerseys . Earlier Monday, Indy re-signed linebacker Justin Hickman and promoted quality control assistant Brad White to assistant linebackers coach. Moala was the Colts second-round pick in 2009 and matched a career high with 26 tackles last season. ANAHEIM, Calif. -- With another bountiful barrage of homers, the Texas Rangers matched a franchise record with their 95th victory in the penultimate game of the regular season. Ian Kinsler thinks the Rangers will have to break that record to make sure they will start the playoffs at home this weekend. Adrian Beltre, Mike Napoli and Nelson Cruz hit consecutive homers in the fifth inning, and the surging Rangers stayed on track for homefield advantage in the AL division series with a 10-3 victory over the Los Angeles Angels on Tuesday night. The Rangers (95-66) have won five straight and nine of 10 while holding off Detroit (94-67), which beat Cleveland 9-6, for the ALs second-best record. With five homers and 15 hits against a series of Angels pitchers who sometimes appeared to be throwing batting practice, Texas matched the club record for victories set in 1999 -- but nobody in the defending AL champions clubhouse is thinking about the past with such a bright future. "My thoughts are, Lets get one more and beat it," said Kinsler, who homered and had three hits while joining the 30-30 club for the second time. If Texas wins Wednesdays season finale or if the Tigers lose to the Indians, the Rangers will host the ALs wild-card winner on Friday. Detroit holds the tiebreaker if the clubs finish even, which would leave the Rangers opening the playoffs at Yankee Stadium. "Wed rather play the first two games at home than on the road," said Napoli, who hit two homers against his former teammates. "We feel comfortable playing anywhere, but to sleep in our own beds and have your normal routine feels great." A day after the AL West champion Rangers eliminated the Angels from the wild-card race, Colby Lewis (14-10) pitched six innings of three-hit ball, adding one more victory to his career-best total while throwing just 76 pitches in his final tuneup before the post-season. Lewis retired the final 11 batters he faced after Peter Bourjos RBI triple in the third inning. The Rangers have improved their record in four straight seasons under manager Ron Washington, but he betrayed no pride in matching the Texas wins mark set by Johnny Oates club 12 years earlier. "Weve been playing good baseball all year," Washington said. "Thats how you get those wins. It means weve been consistent. ... If we go out there (Wednesday) and win the ballgame, we know were going home. Thats our intention. Of course we want to play in front of our home fans. Well show up and strap it on, go out there for nine, and see what happens." Angels manager Mike Scioscia provided a boost to the Rangers homefield hopes when he scratched Ervin Santana and Jered Weaver from their finall starts of the season, instead sending out two rookies -- Tyler Chatwood and Garrett Richards -- in Los Angeles final two games. http://www.cheapjerseyfreeshipping.us/. "With only a couple of games left, I dont know if we were going to see much more than we already know about these young guys," Scioscia said. "But its good to get them out there and let them get some get some energy out." Kinsler connected for his 32nd homer during the Rangers four-run third inning against Chatwood (6-11). Kinsler stole his 30th base in the fourth inning, earning just the third 30-30 season in club history -- and a standing ovation from his teammates, who exuberantly crowded the dugout rail. Beltre had three hits and homered in his fourth straight game, leading off the fifth with his 32nd. The slugging third baseman is propelling the defending AL champions into the post-season with a dynamite September, collecting 12 homers and 24 RBIs in the past 17 games. The Angels have lost five of six and eight of 12 while missing the post-season for just the fourth time in 10 years. Howie Kendrick, the Angels All-Star second baseman, also sprained his left wrist in the fifth inning while stopping a grounder. Chatwood flopped in the final start of the 21-year-old right-handers up-and-down rookie season, yielding seven hits and four runs while failing to get out of the third inning. Jerome Williams wasnt much better on short rest, giving up a run in the fourth and three straight homers to open the fifth. "I learned what I need to work on and what I need to keep building on," Chatwood said. "I didnt do a very good job of getting ahead, and when I was ahead, I made pitches and they hit them. Thats a pretty good lineup and a pretty deep one, top to bottom." After Beltres blast leading off the fifth, Napoli hit his career-high 27th homer, and Cruz followed with his 29th. Napoli added a two-run shot in the seventh. The Angels traded Napoli to Toronto in the off-season, but none of his three main replacements in Los Angeles has more than six homers or an average above .210. NOTES: Angels OF Jeremy Moore got his first major league hit in the seventh inning when his line drive skipped off the glove of Michael Young, who started at shortstop for the first time since 2008 to freshen his skills for the post-season. Young, who won a Gold Glove at shortstop that season before yielding the position to Elvis Andrus, went 2 for 5 with an RBI single. ... Gil Velasquez had a pinch-hit single in the seventh for Los Angeles and another single in the ninth, getting the second and third hits of his major league career. Velasquez got his first with Boston back in 2008, but hadnt played in the majors since May 16, 2009. ' ' '
