While there are a few access points that are accessible to the public for shore fishing as well as launching a boat that is small enough to carry, there are no public boat launching points on the Reservoir.

Arlington Mill Reservoir was created to supply water needed for the textile mills downstream in Lawrence, MA. Although the water is not used for these mills today, The dam remains and water is drawn down each fall. The Reservoirs long shoreline, filled with coves and inlets, has been heavily developed with summer and year-round homes. Boat traffic in the summer can be quite heavy. But traffic can be avoided by fishing early in the morning or late in the evening. The Reservoir, located in the heavily populated southern part of the state, is accessible to many anglers and offeres excellent Largemouth Bass fishing. This body of water may have more underwater structures than any other in NH. For when the Reservoir was created numerous stone walls, metal carts, cars, and sluices were left under the water, along with several old mills. These structures provide excellent fishing sites. Average ice-out date is May 1st.
